We are pleased to confirm that, weather permitting, the bar will re-open on Friday 16th April 2021 at 6 PM. In line with the Governments’ Roadmap out of lockdown general admission to the ground will not be possible for the period 17th April 2021 to 16th of May 2021 (at the earliest).
In a last-minute change from the Government guidance, the ECB/GOV have introduced a MEMBERS only policy for all sporting facilities when allowing spectators.
Therefore, we will have to enforce a STRICT MEMBERS ONLY POLICY.
Please note the following information / rules:
Everybody attending ORTCC is required to comply with the requirements for venue check-in as below to ensure we are compliant, or we may face a £1000 fine All visitors will be required to check-in to enter hospitality venues, not just one per group.
Individuals can do this by checking in with the NHS COVID-19 app and the QR code provided on entry to the ground. Anyone who does not comply will be refused entry.
There will be two zones in operation on the ground. A players zone and a hospitality zone. People in the ground will be expected to remain in their zone, at all times, and should not mix.
Players zone – This will be the area around the scorebox and entry will be through the lower gate. Access will be restricted to players and officials involved in the maximum 30 “bubble” allowed for cricket games.
Hospitality zone – This will be the patio area around the club house. Access will be restricted to:
- Club Officials and
- Club members
Government guidance means that the following rules will be in place in the hospitality zone:
- A strict restriction on numbers allowed in the zone. We will operate a first come first serve basis and access will be refused once we reach capacity and we appreciate your understanding and patience with this
- The rule of six applies in the ground. Please follow this
- Everyone (including children) must remain seated whilst in the hospitality zone. The exception being if you are leaving, arriving or going to use the toilet facilities (see below)
- Social distancing rules must be followed, keep sanitised, respect people’s space, no shouting or music
- Do not move any furniture, it has been placed to respect social distancing
- Observe signage when moving around the venue.
- The clubhouse toilets will be available however, Masks or face coverings should be worn within the Club Building and customers should sanitize on entry and exit from the Building.
- Service will be outdoors only, please remember there is no shelter if the weather turns inclement, wrap up but it’s a small price to pay for a pint with your friends and family.
- Plastic Glasses are being used to reduce the potential for spread of COVID-19.
Please support the committee who voluntarily have spent a lot of time making the arrangements to enable everyone to return this upcoming weekend. Respect the staff and if it takes a little longer than normal for a pint, then please be patient. After all, it is a small price to pay to have some normality with our fellow members and friends.

Is there no cricket in the week and is the club house not open during the week
Terry, not at the moment. Junior cricket will start in May by which time we hope that restrictions will be lifted a little
